My Biography...

I was born in the City of Liverpool, England, on 11th September..
In the mid.. Oh, all right then.. early 1950´s..

Looking back to my childhood, I realise we didn'´t really have much then..
but it didn'´t seem to matter, mainly because we´'d nothing to compare it to, and no one seemed to be any better off than anyone else anyway..

Back then, everyone went to the movies ( we called them The Pictures, or Flicks.. )
and escaped into another world where we´'d watch Swashbuckling Errol Flynn, and Gangsters like James Cagney and Edward G. Robinson.
We even watched a fella called Gene Kelly Singin'´ and Dancin'´ in the Rain..

Then there were the Screen Goddess´'s ..
Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, Judy Garland, and of course .. Marilyn Monroe ..

The radio was always on, so I grew up listening to the songs of Frank Sinatra,
Dean Martin, Doris Day, The Platters, Frankie Lane, and many more ..

Then, one memorable night, I heard a voice on a record-player that was to have an enormous effect on me for the rest of my life ..
